We all fell.
Tumbled through the years,
and the words,
and the smiles.
Night came and lingered.
The sun fell ill
and the moon went to nurse him.
The stars needed time to themselves.
And that was all.
He screamed and grasped the immediate truth.
We were all so dissonant;
some could call it youth
and I'd call it love.
It was love that pushed the clock forwards
and forwards
It took us so long to realise we were time itself.
We all stood
Laughed through the years,
and the words,
and the smiles.
Thankyous and sorries lay forgotten tonight;
remember those tears on the phone,
the endless ends?
The past won't matter for now.
